hey I'm wanting to tint out my headlights with some of that VHC nightshade. I've used it on my taillights and back up lights and I am quite good at using it. my question is if anyone knows if using it on my headlights to a decent darkness will drastically reduce how well my headlights brighten up the road at night. they didn't seem to dim my backup lights at all, but idk about my headlights. Any input??? p.s. i'm not worried about cops pulling me over for it.

I think that our 2g's have enough trouble lighting up the road ahead on the factory headlight setup. IMO if you VHT the headlights upgrade to an HID kit, you can get one for about $100 - $150 and they mount up like the stock bulbs.

Check out ddmtuning.com. I got my HID's from them for $44 shipped...they are AMAZING.

...and I bought mine for $100 and they were plug in play, 15 minute install. They've been working now for over a year and a half with no issues and I can see SO MUCH more, I know because my N/A DSM doesn't have them and I keep trying to turn on my headlights when I drive it at night.

That was 2 years ago. The cheapest I see them going for on Ebay now is $36 shipped or a few sites have them for much cheaper. I remember like 6 yrs ago when I had my 2GNT I paid almost $300 for my first HID kit...boy how times have changed.

Im gonna have to second ddmtuning, my buddy got his hids from their for his gtp, it was plug and play and they look great.

On my 98 they were 9006's. But I would check sylvania's website...they have a bulb guide there. :)

I used VHT nightshades on my mustang and I couldn't see anything afterwards... I ended up getting new headlights.
