Need some advice. I purchased a 93 Talon ES(non turbo 4G63) for cheap. I pulled the engine yesterday(needs head gasket, rear main seal,clutch,etc...), and have attached pictures of timing assmbly. It looks to me like prev owner had the oil pump misaligned, do you guys agree. Also, it appears that the Tbelt tensioner and idler are fairly new, I think I will just replace the belt. I was thinking of doing the Bbelt elim, but have read the I will get a vibration between 2500 and 4000 rpm. This car will be daily driver(110 miles a day), and I don't want to be vibrated for 2 hours a day. How bad(really) is the vibration w/out balance shafts. Engine ran good, but had bad oil leak from head gasket, and rear main. Compression is 190 in all 4, so I don't plan on full rebuild, but will be checking main and rod clearance, and giving it and underhood area a bath(oily grit/grime all over everything). I don't want to increase HP, just want a dependable vehicle.
Thanks for you input.
