My engine specs

50trim t04e
850cc injectors
megasquirt II
HKS 264/272 Cams
6bolt vr4 stock block (same as 1G)
6bolt vr4 engine head (same as 1G)
Mitsu MLS gasket
evo III tranny
97 Octane Fuel
21psi boost

I have had a broken a few engine blocks but I have decided to finally do a simple engine build up.
My plan is to fit in a wiseco standard bore 8.3:1 pistons on a 1G big rod and ACL Race bearings to boost a lil higher ~28psi . My question would be ,

1. do I need ARP Head Studs , ARP Main Studs and ARP rod bolts ? or can I run the stock ones
2. If I do purchase a stock bore , do i need to hone the block or do anything to the cylinder, i do not wish to rebore because my country engineering shops arent that precise and many users had bad experience.
3. How do I do piston gapping, is it easy , because currently my country mechs just slap in and just run them.
4. Should I just forget about the Wiseco and get a Methanol Injection kit to run higher boost
5. I did a check at RCEng injector sizing calculator, it shows that I need atleast a 950cc injector to pump 450bhp , in other words will i be maxing out my 850cc injectors at 28psi 50trim

Thank you

I can't answer all of your questions, but I can share some thoughts on atleast 2. When you start pushing 20+ psi most people as an extra per caution like to instal ARP head studs due to the fact that the stock studs stretch till release meaning eventually thell let go and you'll get some nice leaks. And you could actually run a little bit more compression and still keep your higher boost, but the methanol would def. help protect your engine a little running such high boost.

thank you :D

i would get rods to match the pistions you got two diffrent metals that handle heat diffrently . as stated above the stock head bolts streach. the rod and maint studs are not neded but are nice to have thats your call

You are going to want to have a nice fresh hone when you install you new pistons. Whether or not you can keep your stock bore depends on the condition of the cylinders. If they have become out of round you will want to bore until it is back in round. If I was you I would just go with .020 and be done with it. If you buy stock bore and you end up that your block needs to be bored you will be in a crappy situation.
