Ok i gotta 98 N/T with 190,000 miles.... few weeks ago the waterpump went so i replaced that and while i was in there decided since it had so many miles it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the timing belt as well. After doing this it ran a little sputtery for a while like it was missing so i ripped it open again and redid the timing belt, making sure i had it exactly lined up correctly with the notch on the block etc. After this it started running better but still sounds like its missing a little and recently i've gotten the check engine light to come on, i have an ODB II so i checked it and it was p1390 which basically is the timing... is it definetly the timing belt? when i took the harmonic balancer off the first time i used a gear puller cause i couldn't get it off given it had 190,000 on it and chipped some of the teeth a bit and the side of it. could the harmonic balancer being chipped cause me any major problems? i was thinking of replacing that since getting to the timing belt is such a long annoying job. thanks
