timing problem (after rebuild)

i just got the engine rebuild with 40 miles on it. for some reason my timing keeps jumping, we changed the tensioner and everything. after we redo the timing it works great the first day but next day when we start it up it just jump again and no start at all. we tried many things and get the same result.

does anyone know what is causing this problem because i am getting piss off at this.

well, we decided to do the whole entire timing belt again. check to see if anything is loose. hopefully timing wont go off again in 2 days.

Did you check if you had an undertensioned belt? The way to check is to take the pin or allen wrench that keeps the tensioner compressed and see if it will slide in the hole and through the piston smoothly. If it doesn't go through because the piston went up to far means you belt is undertensioned.

i dont think we did. i'll tell the mechanic to do this since the motor is under warrenty. i got tired of going there checking up whats up so i'll just tell him to do everything to figure out the problem.

tried fixing this problem but i gave up and now it goes back to the mechanic.
