These two marked lines matched up perfectly yesterday. Today i noticed they did not as you can see. Does this mean my timing jumped some teeth?

Starts and drives just fine. Although yesterday i noticed a tick sound at idle...today before i notices those unmatched lines the tick was not there..

How do i put it on tdc? Or how do i know its not on tdc? I also took off the cas....is there a right way or wrong way to put it back on? Thanks everyone

How can any of you say he's out of time when it's clear that the OP didn't have it at TDC and stated so later.
OP. Those lines are worthless unless the crank lines up. Think about it, the motor constantly rotates. If you wern't sure you were at TDC (crank mark lined up) then you can't make any statements about whether the car is in time or out of time. Once the crank is lined up everything else must line up RELATIVE to that. Think about this statement. If it's all in time then you rotate the crank some. Isn't it still in time? Of course it is, you just can't make any statements about it until all the marks are lined up again.
Yes the CAS must go on a particular way. There are marks to do so. It's all in the factory manual.
