Calgary,
well, its time for me to smog my 91 GSX.. (california)
got the idle right, got everything else fine. but i cant get the timing right.
its off 2 degrees (TMO datalogger), and i cant drop it to 5 where it suppose to be.
First question would be.. will it pass smog?
if not, how the HELL can i drop those 2 degrees?

maybe a link?

It will nevver show 5* on the logger. You need to set it at 5* at the crank with a timing light. When it is at 5* on the crank, a logger will always show more. The logger shows timing in real time, not was base timing is.

How are you setting it? Are you remembering to disconnect the datalogger while using the timing light to synchronising the CAS with the engine timing? If you don't and have the logger attached while you ground the timing adjust connector your putting the ECU into BISS adjustment mode.
