TIMING Grinding noise?....Cant figure it out..

Hey guys, I been trying to figure out this noise for almost 2 weeks now and its driving me crazy. A while ago i got a cloth stuck in my timing belt. It got wrapped around the intake cam and cause the car to shut off. When i took the cloth out and started the car, there was this loud noise kinda like a grinding/vibrating noise coming from the timing area. So i took my timing apart and check every pulley and found that my intake cam gear came off in pieces. The gear was slightly bent and had cracks on the inside. So i got a used one and threw it on there. I then put the car back together and started it. NO NOISE. I drove it around for about a day or two and the noise came back. I did a compression test and got between 165-175 on all cylinders.


....CAN ANYONE HELP ME?..I noticed that the timing belt was wiggling between the cam gears. Maybe a loose timing belt can cause the noise???...ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated...THANKS GUYS

does the belt look worn? how is the timing, so it on the money? are there any shavings from the belt or the timing cover from rubbing?

Nope, i put a new belt on there when i replaced the cam gear and i idled the car without a timing cover or any belts to make sure it wasn't that.
