timing belt

I recently purchased a talon tsi unlucky for me the timing belt broke. I have not removed the head yet but if there is damage any advice on locating a complete engine? Thanx for any help.

Check out the vendors on here, ffwd connection and dsm graveyard to name a few. It depends on your budget though, as they can be pricy. As far as used engines, craigslist is probably your best bet as I can usually find several on there in my area almost all the time.

Do you know Kyle? He gets a new car about once a month at least. Most DSMers know him. He lives in East Peoria a street from the high school and owns a purple 2g Talon. I don't know if he still has it, but he also had a white GSX.

He might be able to help you find one since he knows pretty much everyone. If not, ask around most people know him.
