2G timing belt tensioner help

hey guys just wondering what tensioner i need to buy for a timing belt replacment because i see one with some kind of gernade pin and one that looks like pulley, do i need both or just one tensioner for a 96 tsi

You have a hydraulic tensioner (grenade pin) that actuates the pulley arm. Ideally you'll want to replace both. Don't forget about the idler pulley too. Just replace all three along with the belts for the added peace of mind.

do you guys know where i could buy a kit that comes with water pump, all tensioners, pulleys, belts, seal etc i have seen one on ebay but unsure of quality.?
