Timing Belt Tension Tool Question

Anyone out there know how LONG the MD998738 belt tensioner tool is? 6", 12", . . . .? I'm in the process of making a few tools and can not seem to find any info on how long the tools should be.

Yeah . . . I've read over these, but neither mention how LONG the bolt is. I have a 2g Eclipse and my battery tie-down is different from the (I'm assuming) 1g with that bolt.

use your battery bolt and measure that.

ok, here ya go....the overall length is 8.5 inches and the threaded portion is 2.5 inches (from where the threads start to the end of the tool that goes up against the tensioner)

Awesome- thanks a bunch! Out of curiosity, where did you get your tool?
I'm in the process of making some, so if anyone is interested just PM me. Right now I'll be making a set of 4 (one for myself of course).

ummmm......let's just say i "borrowed" them long term from the dealership...hehe(they did'nt even know they had them or what they were)...........this is also a good source for factory service manuals!!!
