i had the car at the dealer about a week or 2 ago(oil leak:notgood: ) and they told me i should have the timing belt replaced.. so i had them do it.. i dident really think of it till now but the car is not performing as well as it did before, do you think they could have messed up the timing or somthing.. or how do i check for myself

It is very easy to get the cam gears off by just a tooth when doing the timing belt. Pull the cam gear cover and rotate the motor (or have a buddy bump it over) until the two marks line up or are close. (you may have to get them perfect by hand) That would be the easiest way to tell.

Your timing can still be off even if the 2 marks align properly. You could pull the whole cover off and check all timing marks.

Autozone should have the loan-a-tool program so you can rent it for free.
