Timing belt change??

See if any of you experts can see from this picture if i need a belt change. I think when i bought the car the belts where changed because it was traded into a mercedes dealership. Thanks in advance!!

hard to tell, but if you have any doubt in your mind, spend the 60 bux and get a new one. It's cheaper then what would happen if it failed

Yeah, I would play it safe and get a new belt.

Looks in pretty good shape to me - just verify it's a Mitsu Factory Belt.

if you do decide to do it, i recomend a mitsubishi belt. they may be more expensive but i have seen bent valves alot because of people putting in a off-brand belt.

and do the water pump/balance shaft belt while your at it.

Just got my belt replace at Glendale Mitsubishi for $450.00 tax included. But I had to pay an extra $285 because the mechanic said that they found some seals leaking oil. I bit the bullet and paid the $285.00 because my car was running like ass before I brought it in, I knew I was leaking somewhere, I just couldn't figure it out. I'll find out later today if it was worth paying $735.00

I guess it varies from state to state. I saw someone here paying $600 that lived in GA. It also varies on the dealer since I checked about 5 different dealers where I lived and this was the cheapest. The highest quote I got was $612.00 not including tax.

Credit to your Mechanic for pointing this out - It would have been a great time to do the BSE Kit though...

amen to that you do it you got to do it all or you asking for trouble but i dont know bout that mitsu belt stuff i got me a goodyear gatorback it seems good
