I recently had my car broken into and in the process of stealing all my aftermarket parts they cut my timing belt and a/c hose. Because of the engine parts being stolen my insurance company had the car towed to look at the car better. Now here's my question when they looked at the car they tried to start it(they say they didn't but the timing belt is now all down inside the motor) with a cut timing belt.... what damage would that cause?

Thanks,
John

Well, the possibility is there for valve to piston contact which could be just bent valves and some nicks on the pistons all the way to a shot motor needed a new bottom end rebuild and new head. Cross your fingers.

They broke the driver side window and took my ValintineOne radar detector then poped the hood and took the mas,air filter, intake, ic pipes, bov, damaged the turbo, cut the timing belt and a/c hose.... I think someone doesn't like me... LOL Insurance paid for it all... I'm waiting on the parts I got from slowboys then I guess I'll findout!
