Tilton clutch systems have always been very popular and highly regarded in the road race community and consider one of the top systems, and yet I do not see very many DSM cars using them.

SO my question is why?, I am aware that they do need checking and inspection like other brands, but doesnt that fall under the maintenance of any race car?.

Thanks for your opinion.

Eric is right, these things in the UK run to about £2000-£4000 depending on spec there not cheap and not that easy to swap to a lower type pedal rail. Yes there great for real race cars but most people only build semi track cars so they dont need this level of pedals or adjustment!

There nice but you must be dedicated to pay this for pedals when yours does just the same to a point

Same reason you don't really hear of people using the rps twin disk clutches on dsm's. High cost. I could estimate that for every 1000 dsm owners, 1 would purchase an expensive clutch in the 3-5k range.

Hold on did I reply to the correct question LOL we not talking about tilton clutch pedal setup or pedals at all?

If not then I am sorry to post as I must not of read your thread right, I thought you asked about the pedals by tilton

I think cost is relative, and in the long run they would be as cheap or expensive as any of the other race set ups, since after initial cost all individual parts can be purchased by themselves.

Of course these are not for a DD car or street track car.
