I found someone selling a FMIC, that included all piping and a Tial Bov already welded on. Its a very good deal but I'm concerned about the Tial BOV not being the right choice for my setup. If you check my profile I'm still on the stock Maf with close to enough mods to really take advantage of a FMIC. What I'm wondering is what I would need to do to run the Tial BOV which is VTA, right? Eventually I was planning on a GM MAF with a MAFT. Will I have to run a blow through setup in order to not have recirculation issues? Aside from a standalone EM what options do I have to run the Tial BOV?

Thanks.

The Tial BOV is a nice bov...holds anything you throw at it...but its VTA only. Get a MAFT w/ a GM MAF, then you can take advantage of this nice piece.

Like I previously mentioned, that is my plan, but do I have to setup the GM MAF in blow through setup?

Prior to installing the GM MAF and MAFT can I run the Tial without major driveability issues?

Any aftermarket bov that doesn't leak at idle is fine vented as long as you don't care about the temporary (and short) rich condition in between shifts. My buddy has a 10 sec 2g and runs a tial bov on a 2g mas :)

So running it temporarily untill a GM MAF setup is in place is alright, but not optimal?

Yes youll be fine, the only thing is you will notice a little loss in power but most of the times you can tune it out. But if your going to get piping then i suggest doing it all at once it will make your life alot easier then having to take it out just for that i ran a rfl before i got my gm maf and setup and it ran fine. If you dont mind sitnky exhaust and runnin a lil rich i wouldnt worry about it. but i highly reccomend it

How is he going to loose power?

A car that runs rich compaired to a car that is stoich will be a little bit of a difference in power. The more rich your car runs the more power youll lose. Because of the bov will be venting youll have a rich mixture between shitfs and the beginning of you next gear willbe that little loss. After a few seconds it will be fine.

Your stock ecm adjust for that burst of air and because of that adds more fuel, take away the air and your youve got a rich mixture. its nothing to worry about.
