i was reading about the Spring stiffness on a Tial Bov,but im not clear on one thing. My vac sits between 19-17.So i got the right spring (silver color).but what if i have a gm maf ? should i need to put a softer or stiffer spring??? Im running 21psi of boost.

ok Hrre is how my wastegate is connected:

i got Hallman boost controller
The Line from turbo compressor goes to the bottom Boost controllers nipple
the line from wastegate goes to the boost controllers side nipple
the Bov has the line coming straight from the intake manifold

Does it look good?

Yeah thats how you should have it hooked up, probly 95% of us on here have it setup that way. You should have as light of a spring as you can get away with on your bov, if your running 15psi it should stay closed even with an 8lb spring in there. Not like your running 35lbs or something rediculous. You can always hook up a handheld pump and see exactly when it opens/closes and set preload accordingly.

Just as a note. I contacted TiAL about switching springs (as I have yet to take anything out of the box)

I also stated in the email, that I'd like a different color if that wouldn't be too much trouble.

Almost instantly I got a response stating that they will certainly trade the springs and would see about the color.

Just thought this information could save someone, that had ordered the wrong spring and realized it before they used it, some money.

Well Today i changed the spring for my bov.took out the silver one and put a Purple (stiffer). Its kinda solved my problem, right now on a high boost at wot, sometimes its flutters sometimes not.... so right now im leaning towards to the Wastegate spring.

i just tried to run the car without a boost controller, just hook up the line from turbo housing straight to wastegate. And the wastegate still won't open,m building 15psi of boost,so that means thats it supposed to open right??? but there is no sound (dump sound),when i had the o2 dump before, that thing was daaamn loud, and now is like im running with a stock wastegate and stock o2 housing :(((( Im Lost........ any advices what else i should try???
