Tial 40mm wastegate installation

I just put on my new turbo and it came with the tial 40mm external wastegate. I am using a manual boost controller and does it matter if i use the top or side port to hook up to it? I hooked up to the top and car just boosts all the way up real quick like the wastegate is stuck open.

You need to hook it up to the side port. The top port is only if you have an electronic boost controller.
