What up fellas?
Just want to invite anyone who's up for a little HPDE in Willows, CA on the 11th of August.
http://www.nasaproracing.com/hpde/index.html
I'll be there for my first track day in my GSX.
Another buddy will be in a Mini Type-S, and another in a STI.

Come on out.
All you need is a helmet, $40 for NASA annual membership and $160 for an all day of racing.
You get four 20min sessions with an instructor (if you're in HPDE 1), download sessions after each 20min session, and you can even do ride alongs with the HPDE 4 guys if your cool enough...
After hours BBQ, with Margaritas blended with a 2-stroke powered blender, and of course the lovely Umbrella Girls.

Should be a blast....

Man, this sucks.
An instructor friend of mine was going to get me in as a HPDE 1 for free, but they sold out all of the available spots, so I got hosed.
I guess I won't see you out there this time...

i'd be so down if this wasnt the day before BOTI...can't risk the car breaking the day before

WoW...I was the only eclipse going to the nasa events for years. havent't been out in a while though. I was always running in group 4 trying to prep for SU class

I've been wanting to go ever since I bought my first DSM which was back in 04'.
I hope to go to Infineon on the 22nd of Sept for my first event.
I missed registration for HPDE 1 for Thunderhill on the 11th of August, so that just gives me more time to get everything dialed in.

Is there a schedule posted somewhere? I'm thinking of trying another HPDE or open track day sometime.

In my first post, there is a link to the NASA site.
Choose your region, NorCal and you can see a schedule.
Or, better yet, here it is. http://www.nasaproracing.com/norcal/events/2007hpdeschedule.htm

I'm really impressed with the Norcal DSMers these days - I never saw another DSM out at any track events when I was there. I wish I could head out to Thunderhill with you guys, I miss that track. I can barely get one or two DSMers to show up to any track events out here. It's so disappointing.

All who go - take pics and have fun!

so i just got back from thunderhill. boy was that a blast. we took a FFTEC customer's evo8 out and let me tell you, that car HANDLES around those turns. barely anyone could keep up with us in the straights. i highly suggest people check these out. there were 2 1g's out there.

we were set up with our evo8, a turbo nsx, s/c nsx, porsche gt2, and 2 evo9's.

It was really fun out there. I learned tons about how I should setup my suspension from driving the course. Hopefully I can get things straightened out and really rip it up the next time.
