Hey, so I've been knocking out all the little issues with my car the past couple of weeks , doing all the fluid changes and checks, and about the last issue is a low thumping noise coming from the rear of the car when shifting. I've searched around the forums, and the consensus on this sort of thing is worn bushings. I crawled underneath the rear diff today, and the bushings appear fine, no erosion or surface cracks, so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what it might be? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Might be time to replace your u joints. Also you said you checked on the rubbers. They looked good but did you check to see if any of your driveline parts are loose?

Do you happen to hear a squeek in tune with your wheels yurning while driving slow? U-joint will usually make noise at a slow and sometimes at a higher speed. I have had this thump issue too... turns out it was driver error... Just needed to give it a tiny bit more gas while shifting into my next gear. But you can get under your car and wiggle the driveshaft near the u-joints to check for play.

Press the clutch all the way in car not running, release. get out of the car and with a pry bar or something for the sort pry/push the crank pulley toward the transmission, repeat if need be, but you shouldn't see any movement really, if you do :ohdamn:
