Does the water pump make a thumping sound when it's starting to go? I realized the sound today when I picked up my car from the shop for several coolant leaks. My car was in neutral when hearing this sound. They did tell me I do need a water pump, just wondering how much time I have on it before it goes? Thanks guys

Never heard of that normally you will leak coolant from the weep holes on the pump housing, that is a sign it needs to be replaced. or you can wiggle the pulley, and there isnt a set amount of time it depends alot on how you drive the car high rpms will make it go out faster if it is in fact the water pump.

I am getting the water pump fixed this week along with the timing belt done. That thumping noise I hear is coming from the stock intercooler area. I still do have a stock turbo on my car :(. Any suggestions on what that noise is?

My car is manual. How much does this repair usually cost and how long do you have once you hear the noise? The previous owner had put a new clutch it in. Why didnt get this done then? Its been one thing after a another since i bought my car :(

When i put the clutch pedal in you couldnt hear it as much but you still heard it. Should i be looking to get a new flywheel? If so, it has a ACT stage 2 clutch already in there. What is good and cheap? Thanks guys

If the noise changes when the pedal is pressed it usually has to to with your throw out bearing.
