thumping noise in intake

hey guys

1998 gst 5spd stock except uicp, bov, kn filter

intalled a uicp and bov, and now im hearing a deep thumping and a clicking through the intake filter. It comes and it goes, and will stop and start
it is somewhat rythmic..

it does this when the car is stopped, idleing in the driveway


i cant hear it except when i go to passenger side near fender.
it seems as though the noise is in the im/intake area and reasonating though the intake.



any ideas or suggestions?
i did search and found a few similar problems, but no one ever resolves the issue!


the car did have a go of stalling at idle, so i removed isc and cleaned it, fastened it back and it idles good. At the same time i replaced the positive battery terminal because dsm seem to have issues if the terminals arent perfect..

If it is rhythmic and comin through the intake pipe could be somethin with the turbo. Like one of the turbine wheels.

i did indeed think of that and i do have some play on the t25 however, it will be there only sometimes at idle and while it thers, it will stop for period of time... which is the part that got me guessing

Have you checked inside the intake pipe/air filter to make sure there isnt anything stuck in there?

Are you recirculating the bov? How many miles on the car/turbo? How bad is the turbo shaft play? does it boost pretty well?

check intake pipe, nothing there..

112k, little up and down no in and out

always a recirculation guy!

yea it boost just fine! pulls good
