Resolved Thumping noise coming from front drivers side??

This just started up today on my way to work. My car is 90 Eclipse GST, I thought it might be a loose water guard because I just installed them only enough to where they would hold. But I checked that and it was pretty stable. I don't think it's anything in the engine because I put the car in neutral from a stop and let it roll. As the car accelerated, the thump also acclerated. While driving the car, the only time it thumps is while I am not accelerating/shifting. It is not there when I brake hard either, only soft braking. Would it be the wheel bearing? I hate the sound of it and if I keep driving it like that, I'm afraid something else will break (yes I know it's a DSM) but I don't want anything to break because of this thump/knock. Anyone with any help on this let me know. TIA.

Did you check the lugnuts on the tire the noise is coming from? Other than that I dont know what to tell you.

Yeah i can't stress enough to tighten those lug nuts, i had the same problem, i heard a weird knocking/thumping noise- didnt think anything of it till my car thumped so loud i pulled over just intime to find all my lugs were gone with the wheel barely hanging on...

Wow, thanks guys, two of the lug nuts were pretty loose. I went ahead and tightened all of them on all the tires. I drove it around and the thumping was gone. I would have never caught that...
