Throttle response, knock voltage

today i took out all the emissions control junk
(got from tabooracing.com) and put on a egr blockoff plate and all. when i fired her up after she strugged for life i noticed that my throttle response was shitty!!!!!! :thumbdown
it wasnt like that before, i give it some gas and it takes a sec for it to rev. just doesnt sound right!!!
also i look in my chilton manual to check the knock sensor and it said i should be reading 8.0-11.0 vlts from the harness. but im ready like 2vlts. what the hell could be causong that and also could that be messing up my throttle response and shitty idle when i start her up???? i have checked everything from compression to boost leaks and ecu no problems.... NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did the taboo emissions delete and have egr blocked off.No problems so likely is something else.what hard to say..these cars can drive a guy crazy and most problems don't throw any codes.You can start with wires and plugs,fuel filter.Then if that don't work you can look at injectors,fuel pump,igniton coil,power transistor,alternator,ecu caps..and on and on..heck I get phantom knock lots of times off idle and the car becomes super dog.I have tried new knock sensor and its still there..I think its my old lifters.
If you have a logger try to see if you are getting big knock off idle..if you dont' have a logger get one..

yes my friend these cars while drive you more crazy than a women can!!! :laugh:
but i found out that my throttle response was because my icp came undone. so i fixed that.
but my cold start is horrific!!!!! makes me cry when i turn her over . after a few she warms up and all good!!!
yeah as far as knock goes, i sent for a new sensor so it should be here next week. and ill see how she runs but it was just wierd how low the voltage was coming from the harness. but i didnt check it with the correct tool so im sure that didnt help me!!!
im hopefully getting a logger this coming couple of weeks so ill see if im getting knock!

Unblock your EGR. It's there to help your engine, not hurt it's performance.
