So I'm kind of experiencing a wierd problem...Tried selling my TSi (I know, but I got tired of it breaking down), but it didn't work, the guy never ended up paying me for it, so I got it back now. (As a side note, he said he was going to get a CRX instead
) So, my problem lies in my throttle. To be honest I haven't really checked it out too much, just kinda wanted to shoot it out here and see what anyone else thinks about it.
So, from 0% ~ 40% throttle, everything goes just fine. Pulls normally, turbo spools, builds / holds boost, etc etc etc. However, after 40% throttle, pulling virtually stops, the engine seems to almost stutter, or almost a really bad knock, and the BOV will go off, build boost and go off, build boost and go off, etc. Now, I think it may have something to do with the way that the SAFC-II is tuned, but like I said, I haven't really looked too much into it. Also, I noticed that the timing belt may be a tooth or two off, but, well, havent really looked at it
. Anyway, just wanted to get some ideas or some other things to check.
Oh yeah, its a 90 TSi AWD Turbo, with numerous mods too it, kinda in a hurry, work is b**ching at me to get back to work

Wow, if your timing belt jumped a tooth you need to correct that first and foremost, you could end up with alot more problems than just lack of power. Also check your fuel tuning and be shure you are not hitting the fuel cut. Mabey the other guy cranked up the boost without correcting the fuel. Be sure to check fuel preasure, and while you are at it, check for any boost leaks. You said it sounds as though it would vent then boost and then vent again? You may have a boos leak. But as I stated before, GET THAT TIMING BELT FIXED!!!!!
