I went from a 2g manifold\TB to a JMF SMIM and 1G TB. I am using Dejon Upper Intercooler piping. Now the throttle elbow is lower and with it angled down it is no where near where it needs to be. Where can I buy a throttle elbow that is flat (Not angled downward) and the length needs to come to the valve cover. After that I can use a 90" coupling to join the pipes up. Pics below

Im debating. Cutting and rewelding is fastest and cheapest, but I plan on getting a vrsf fmic kit anyway. This upgraded sidemount is probably gonna be maxed on soon.

With the punishment piping I took the big piece that connects directly to the ic on the cold side, flipped it around, and cut about 3-4" off and got a perfect fit. Looks so much better than before.

A fmic sounds alot easier than removing the pipes, grinding paint, prepping, cutting, welding, grinding welds, repainting. yadayadayadayada. I think you got the right idea bro. The way the PR kit sits(i assume vrsf is no different) you should be able to move that tb elbow section of pipe pretty freely and have no problem attaching it.

I have a JMF SMIM on my car and a PR front mount and the TB elbow it came with had to be cut and re-welded in order for it to fit right. The position of the SMIM drops the TB lower than the stock intake. Lucky for me I have a 1g N/T TB so all I had to do was buy an extra pipe and a 45 degree coupler (not cheap by the way) in order to compensate for drop in the TB.

I would just cut it and get it re-welded. When it comes to the intercooler pipes you want to align them correctly in order to avoid any boost leaks later on.

The pipes are powder coated. I plan on cutting the elbow close to the flange as possible. bolt down the flange, install pipe, mark with marker how the pipe should be rewelded and taking it to an exhaust shop for the welding.

I saw the ETS one, it is pricey and looks too short. I dont plan on having the flange welded just the pipe. I want to cut the pipe about 1cm away from the flange, parallel to the flange. go home and line everything up, make a few marks, have it tack welded to check fitment, then full weld around the pipe.

Here's how mine is with that low pipe flipped and about 3" cut off .
