OK, so I noticed my pedal is quite loose and the throttle cable sticks out about 1/3 of an inch. I had a buddy floor it and it turns out that it is not going WOT at the throttle body. I tried adjusting the two bolts on the intake manifold, seeming how the cable is pushed as close to the throttle body as it can be. I tried taking slack out of it, but if I move the throttle cable at all, even the slightest bit, it runs fine, but then when warm my idle speed shoots up to like 3,000rpms. I was noticing that it looks like something may have to be adjusted in the Cruise control box maybe? Has any one encountered this before? I used the almighty search, but unfortunately no help at all with my exact problem.:idontknow:

Have you tried adjusting the BISS screw? If the throttle was out and some one adjusted the BISS to get the idle right it would be out of whack if you moved with throttle line. I can't remember how to properly set it so I would search for that and go from there.

Thank you for your responses, I don't know about the BISS screw though. If it is that plastic screw in the throttle body, that thing has been destroyed since day 1. however there is that screw in the back of the throttle body itself that acts as a stopper for the throttle puller.

You need to replace your BISS and adjust it properly (VFAQ). Adjust the throttle cable so WOT is WOT, verify your TPS is activating the idle switch at idle. All 3 of these needs to be working properly to idle right. When you adjust the throttle cable do it ONLY to where WOT is WOT, do not adjust it to be tight at idle or any tighter than necessary.
