2G Thread sealer

I’m going to feed from the oil filter housing, for the threads is there a special thread sealer I should use? I don’t thing my local auto stores have anything that say it’s for that specific use. Teflon tape or is there a more proper product?

You should use a good pipe thread sealant or pipe dope, it'll set soft yet seal good and stay somewhat pliable! I would only use it on the fitting adapter going into the oil filter housing. I never used anything on my actual oil feel or my braided coolant lines and never had a leak from them.

So I would find that in the plumbing section at Lowe’s or Walmart? I will only be using it at the oil filter housing everything else will be bare

Yep I got mine at Lowe's but I would assume Walmart got it or something close. Just make sure it says metal cause I believe some are for only plastic.

I use loctite 592 thread sealant. Work great!!
I've used it on fuel fitting, and oil fitting without any issues.
And it smells good too.

Im glad someone else thinks that stuff smells good Im always wanting to buy a brush in can bottle of it just for the smell...is that wrong??
