Thread on tranny and MOTOR side?

Why is there a thread on the motor and tranny side for the rear transmission to engine bolt (above the driverside driveshaft) This makes no sense at all, how does it even tighten it down?

Its for a bolt that threads into the engine block.

Yes I know, but how does that work if its like Thread [GAP] Thread. Shouldnt there only be thread on one side?
And everyone says its an M8, but that just slides right in.

There are two M8 bolts..
One with a thread pitch of 1.0...The other wirh a 1.25 thread pitch...

It should be a 13 mm socket as well right??

I just went to the dealer and ordered one because it has to thread into the block, if its not the right thread, you will strip it out.
