I was wondering if it's bad to have different-thread tires on either side? One tire has the V shaped threads and the other tires have the straight line threads. Both are brand new and both are the same size.

If there the same rolling diameter you wont have no problems. They might have different wear rates nothing to worry about though.

As far as differentials go, will the tires have any effect it.

I've ran different sized tires on a vicous LSD Supra I'll never do it again it because its very twitchy and fools the LSD.

Replace all four as soon as possible. A set of cheap new tires will put you in better and safer shape than whatever you're bastarding around with now, particularly when it gets wet.

All 4 tires are new. All 4 tires are the same size. The 2 in the front are the same tires with same tread. The tires in the rear have different tread from the front tires and different tread from each other.

I've been running my 97 awd for the past year with a ghetto setup like you have. Would I recommend it = no.
