Thought it was a TOB...?

I just bought my car a week ago today, new clutch as of 5k miles ago, as well as rebuilt trans 5k miles ago. I was told my problem could be the TOB, but it only occurs in 4th gear, not 1,2,3 or 5. When i am in gear, and let off the clutch it makes a slight vibration, and when i hit the gas, it sounds like a knocking, and its def coming from the front passenger side of the car, or more central front

any ideas?

I just got my tranny rebuilt, new stock clutch, and flywheel replaced. 2 months after getting my spyder back. Rattle rattle rattle in EVERY gear. I know its not a chipped gear or the like. Has to be a spring or TOB. Well im taking it back to the shop that replaced my tranny. Ill see what they find.

SpoolingSpider: Taht'd be awesome if you couls let us know. I still haven't found what the problem is with my 90 AWD. Keep us posted, thanks for all the information everyone! :)

I have rattling as previously posted,..I pulled my clutch plate off and took a look at my clutch disc springs,..they are still in there although a little loose,..But being that they are still on the disc itself, it is "not" rattling around between the plate and disc as if it worked itself off the disc,..

So Im thinking its the input shaft bearings,..

Anyone know what is the consequences of having bad input shaft bearings are? Will the tranny "explode" or will it cause bent shift forks, or other problems that would lead to more $$$,...etc?

Im asking cause I dont have the funds to repair tranny right now, so Im gonna put my tranny back in so I can get my car operating again so I would be able to move my car in/out of the garage for more space. Till I get the funds to fix tranny,..

thanks
Kevin
