Has anyone ordered there slicks for fwd? I ask because I'm thinking about getting them.

What slicks?? Extreme??? Nitto's? They are ok. Suck in rain and snow

DO NOT GET 22x8x15 they are too small. A friend used them and they sucked.

Well since I will be compeating in pro street this year the only thing you could use thats remotly close to a full slick would be the bfgoodrich drag radials .But in my cas senario im also awd. Has anybody ever used them on an awd that can give me some key pointers as to spin gription and launch.


I will also be using a 15 inch by 8 rim , wich I trhink is the perfect size , but yet again very hard to find. Well since the drag radials wear very easily how many races do you think they have b4 they become bald??
But isnt bald what we want??

These are the slicks that alot of FWD and AWD guys run. Now of course they are for the strip, not the street. I would recommend a good set of lawyers or a casket for the street racer.

just to comment on the width of the tires having alot to do with performance, i agree that it helps some what but, have you ever heard of outlaw 10.5''? i have a buddy that runs a 7 second 68 camero and one of the rules is you cant run a tire wider then 10.5'', so yes it is possible to be fast on a tire that is not as wide.

Yes, you are correct. In NHRA/IDRC/IHRA I believe that you can not have tires wider than 10". I am running 26x8.5x15 and they hook without problems.
