I had this plate thing on my block, with a sensor on the other end of the wires. I can't remember what connects to, but its a triangle sensor. Im sure I can either wire it back up, or just find another one somewhere. I can't find a image on google to show you what im talking about. All I can tell you is its on with 2 bolts and its bolted onto the oil pump, and has a diamond shape and is black

I dont know, but looks like the wires just pulled apart. I wasnt sure if someone had a pic, and if I can just rewire it, or if I need to replace it

Here is my block and I tryed to arrow what Im talking about, but its a cell phone pic so it sucks

thanks guys. Do you think I can just put the wires back in it, or do I have to replace it?

replace. you dont want to have to worry about that. just go to a chrysler dealership or a mitsu dealership and get them to order you one. i got my crank position sensor and cam angle sensor from a chrysler dealership for $141.00 for both. so your looking at like $70 a piece. but you dont want them going bad while the engine is in the car. TRUST ME its a b**ch to replace :ohdamn: so def just buy one. its a good investment and youll know theyll be good-to-go. :thumb:

thanks guys. I will make all future decisions with my TSi after I hear back from the machine shop. This thing has been BEYOND of a money pit

You will get random misfire if you do the 1g cas without dsmlink...keep that in mind.

Replace "Will Get" with "May Get".

If the random misfire code is thrown, a simple 5K Potentiometer (volume knob) can be used on the Barometric ECU wire and get rid of the random misfire, and lean out your car.

But, there is NO grounding pin on a 97-99 ECU so you cant get your car to base idle (5*) and just match it with a timing light at 5*, Since I didnt have a logger or anyway to make my ECU ground out, I just set my 1G CAS to 8* at normal idle, which is 5* base idle.
