Alright guys, some may know about my last thread about trading my 97 ESi for a 92 TSi. Well that deal fell through and I decided I wanted a 2G not a 1G.

I found this deal for a 95 TSi for $1000.

Here is his description:

This is my second car that I need to get rid of fast. It is a 95 Eagle Talon TSI. It is turbo charged all wheel drive with a turbo timer and air fuel controller. I used to drive this car but recently it has just been sitting. I just went out to start the car after 5 months of sitting, and I realized someone stole the turbo pipe to the blow off valve, and the intake. Both were after market and pretty valuable. Now I just need to get rid of the car. Obviously the car now needs the pipe from the turbo (The turbo is still there and runs strong) and blow off valve and air intake. Other than that the car runs and as I stated I used to drive the car all over.

The motor runs strong and the clutch and transmission were recently rebuilt. This car previously ran a 15.3 and Bandimere and is fun to drive.

I am asking $1000 but if you are interested please give me a call and make an offer. I want to get rid of this car fast so make an offer.

Here are some pics of what is missing:

So with all that... Should I do it? Also, from you guys judging on the description and pics, what EXACTLY do i need and would I be able to do it right on the spot without taking it to a shop. I know a little about cars and if it is a moderate application, I'm pretty positive i can do it.

What place would be great to get those parts. dsmgraveyard.com?

Thanks in advance

I would for that price. You can get the stock parts at dsmgraveyard.com, junk yards, ebay, jnztuning.com, etc. Or just replace with aftermarket parts.

I say go look at it and do a compression test on it. If compression checks out then id go for it. I mean lets say it doesnt start $1000 for AWD DSM is a good price. Also may ask about leaks. Looks like there is a fair amount of oil on the valve cover. And there seems to be a cut harness laying across the hole for the bov. Just check it out.

Okay,

He says the car doesn't smoke at all, oil level is full.

Im saying it checks out, as longs as i can get the parts and drive it home, ill then have a DSM guy look at it.

Installing the BOV is the only concern i have, but i bet i can manage.

Btw its the SMI i need right? and what exact pipes?

Intake piping and BOV are easy to install, do you know if the MAF is still there? Considering many times AWD shells sell for more than $1000 I would jump all over this. A compression test would give you an idea of what you are getting. If you plan on unsing that turbo, check it for shaft play. It needs some TLC but for that price that is to be expected. Good luck

The MAF sensor?

I would take it for 1K and just fix it up. IDK would much money you have to work with but if you have time and tools you should beable to handle this.

Looks like a couple of parts that are easy to remove were taken out to hide something else. From the looks of that engine bay I doubt if he had anything "valuable" to steal. Do a comp check if you can't get the parts to actually here the car run. Still $1000 would be worth it if you know cars and have the time and money to fix it.

put in one more pic in there. im really thinking about doing this. just need to know the exact items i need to get for the turbo so i can drive it home
