September 24th, 2012

Still need to post pics up... Sorry guys haven't been on the computer / been at home...

Took my car to this shop on Main Street for an alignment. Ended up replacing 3/4 tire rods and then 4 tire alignment.

Went to Don Gross and picked up the whole head gasket set, water pump, and timing belt.
Will be installing them this Saturday! :) :dsm:
Little while ago went to national city, Platinum auto sports and got an alarm / kill switch installed.

No i didnt even wanna throw this idea past him i know what his response would be, but reason im geting it cause block has been blowing the dip stick out and this new dipstick has a vent on it like the evo version does. So that should vent block and keep more oil down in pan

Sold my 3G Eclipse wheels

Yay

How much you let them go for? :p

I know it things we did to our DSM in So Cal, but I guess this goes with me fixing my suspenion a few days ago...

So anyone got info on this that can give me some advice?
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/437599-rear-suspension-noise.html#post153099006

I called this suspension shop and they told me they could not find the arm bushing...
So they offered me after market control arms $85 each OR!!!!
OEM control arms with the bushing etc... $171 from the dealer each...

I asked what if I can find the bushing? He replied that it would come out more expensive since it would take longer to fix....

So now I am in a pickle... Looking for advice...

At the moment I know that I have to replace my transmission / rebuild it , and fix my rear suspension noise...

This Saturday I am going to my friends house replacing my timing belt, water pump, and passenger door lock mechanism. I already have all of these parts.

I also have the complete head gasket set. I am not sure when I am going to install it.

No, you won't hold more oil in the pan, you'll hold more boost in and push all the oil out of the crankcase and into the head and blow your oil seals out and starve the crank. The dipstick blows out for a reason, would you rather have a dipstick blow out or your rear/front main seal?

Get a good catch can setup and FIX the problem, you're band-aiding it. Pressurizing the crankcase with a HTA86 never ends well...

:dsm:

The 6-an is just the size vent that i aimming down to the street i wont be adding vacume its just venting out all pressure from the block, but i do need to add vacume to my current catch can.... Because of the balance shaft removal its a giving that oil psi will be higher so my thinking was to vent the block just like the oem evo enginge does

If you got the STM vented dipstick I recommend you running that -6AN line, with some type of filter, to your intake so it actually puts vacuum on the crankcase. Running it to atmosphere is worthless because the pressure built up in the block has to find its way out of that small dipstick (creating air turbulence in the crankcase) then overcome the pressure out that small hole (creating even more turbulence) and what you get is positive pressure in your block trying to escape out of a coffee straw. If you get a chance try to blow air through a coffee stir straw and then blow air down a paper towel roll...

If you're having problems blowing out the dipstick then you need to get a sealed can and put vacuum on it (and the crankcase) to alleviate the issue. Quit tap dancing around the problem... http://www.jcsautomation.com/vs%20catch%20cans.html

Nice license plate cover. Shoshinsha mark - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As I'm sure you know, no 2g DSM was ever manufactured in Japan so having that JDM "beginner driver" symbol on there makes no sense.

This would be a lot more politically correct...
