I always just fill it up and start the car with the cap left off and let it warm up with the heater on high. As it needs I keep topping off the coolant. Then when it gets up to normal temperature and the thermostat opens you will have to add more coolant to keep it topped off. Then it will reach a point where it will be up to temp and will not take any more coolant. Now is the time to put on the cap and everything should be good to go. You can pull the cap and check it to make sure it's full after it has completely cooled down. Make sure it's full under the cap and in the overflow reservior and your good for sure.:thumb:
