Thermostat housing sensor?

Ok well I have searched and cant find out what sensor this is. Im removing all the connectors from my wire harness that are not being used anymore. And one of the a/c wires runs to this sensor. So the question is what sensor is this?

If I'm not mistaken, that is the fan switch. It tells the fans when to go on.

Edit: We are talking about the one dead center of the picture correct?

So does this sensor tell when to turn the a/c fan on or both fans?

Both fans... If you want to get rid of this sensor, you will have to wire the fans to a switch and manually turn them on.

Ok well looks like im going to leave the wire that goes to this sensor alone. Thanks
