The UN gun ban that would strip Americans of their rights to own guns

On the newspaper today I read about a 3year old boy who shot and kill a 20year old on the chest accidently.. Just thought I'd point that out.

There should be a ban on stupid people owning guns. This is a fine example of a stupid person owning a gun. People that understand thier power and respect them have the right to carry them. Not some gang banging moron who is only going to bring society down. Guns should be kept in a gun safe or cabinet and should have a trigger lock on. Kids should not have access to that.

I don't see how a gun ban does anything except piss people off.

^^^the above statement makes sense, and think about this, kids that are told don't touch something (for example, "don't get into the liquor cabinet") are more likely to try because of the "taboo" factor. I think people should start out not by telling their kids don't touch guns they are "bad" but teaching them the proper way to use them. (like the NRA does as does the boy scouts) and teaches them to respect what they are capable of, are more likely not to have the desire to go get the gun and play with it, especially if they don't know what they are doing. Of course, this doesn't make them a 100 percent safe. But at least they have been taught the proper way to handle a gun (ie, that all guns are loaded until you check them) The child in question, again, should never have had access to such a firearm and the ammunition shouldn't have been available either. The parent should be held responsible for that travisty of justice.
