I tried it out but it looked like shit so I removed them again. Wont be anything next to the amp...the belt will go over that area anyway so it would just cover them up...Think it will look good anyway
Oh..I am not painting it..I am dressing it in black alcantara, same as on the doorsides.Thionk it will flow better then painted actually...
Sanded it almost ready today..*geeeez* alot of work!!

i really really really really liked the way it looked BEFORE. i know its more plain and not so showcarish, but thats just my style. It is still very nice now i just liked it better before. You did a lot of work and i respect that. good luck

i really think the black fabric cover will go better. i've never been a fan of cars that try to make the interior look like the exterior. there should be a distinction.. quality fabric too im getting lots of good ideas from your sub setup. someday i will learn to fiberglass like that. more pics!!!

yeah my thougts exactly. I will use alcantara in black..will be good I think.
IU will post pics as soon as I can..right now I have sanded it almost toally ready. Still a little work but I will try to dress it during this week..Hopefully it will work out ok.
Its not hard to fiberglass. Last years set up , wich I know you seen, was the first one I ever made..never fiberglassed before. This setup is my second so...just read up before so you know how to and go for it..no biggie

Same here..cold as hell in hte garage...** I made a tent over hte car so I could use a hot air fan to heat it up so I caould fiberglass and bondo..** HOpefully it will lok good when done. Pics from the show will comeof course
I am nott keeping up the good work though since I am seeling hte car..I am getting one of these instead now ;-) :

i dont know if i like the setup youre doing now. looks too generic. though im a huge fan of your last fiberglass setup, this one is just too plain. whats the use of audiobahn subs if youre not gonna show off the flames?

im also doing a brand new fiberglass enclosure before summer. this one will be alot more rigid and sturdy, each sub will have their own box(so not just bumping into the fiberglass enclosure) but ill still be reverse mounting them, since its been proven effective in drawing a crowd. its too bad euroGSTspyder youre selling your car, youre the one who showed me how badass a simple fiberglass box could be, if not for you id just be a plain jane spyder with yet another worthless back seat.

Reason for not going all crazy on this one is of course hte fact that I wont keep the car. Why would I spend countless hours on a job and then sell the car two weeks later? Doesnt add up right ;-) Thats why I went with a simple design and making sound ok.
The problem with the spyder is that its hard to fit in two huge amps + tvo 12"speakers and keep them reversed due to space issue really...They dont fit in there unless done like I did last year but I dont wanna show the same setup two years in a row...You know?

Thats pretty much why I did it this way I will only show hte car at one show so I really couldnt care less if its a show worthy setup or not**

true..but I tried to keep it as close to the seats as possible The colorscheme will be hrey black on the entire enterior Balck stereosetup, black seats, grey inserts in doors -same color almost as on the subs, grey dashboard, grey midlde consol, grey panels for safc and tt. grey/silver gauges, grey gear boot, grey gear knob..Only thing differ is the amps wich is chromed flamed Audiobahn amps.

I finally got chosen for a cover so I hopefully will have good pics of the car after this show is done

car lookes beautiful, I popped at least 2 boners while going through the pictures. IMO it would look alot better witout the huge wing, but it still looks quite nice!

Another thing dressed. This is the top part of the stereocover. It is splitted in two now since I need to be able to reach the brackets for the rollbar.. Once in place it will look as one piece though.Looks alittle off in the pic but its close enough and the seats, belts and amps will cover some of it up so it wont be noticeable once in the car. Pics of it all in will come next week Sorry for the crappy pic

I know its simple and all but it pounds like crazy and it looks really good when I have the MoMo seats in.The seats seems to be made of almost same material so it loks real nice together. It all blends in together More pics if I can find a way to make my stupid FTP to work correctly.

Yep the CDC has a seam with a plastic "joiner" strip from one side to the other.
