Hi, I've been looking for a dsm to buy. Ive been trying sites like craigslist and all those other online car vendor things. Basically i have been looking for a 1g but I can't seem to find almost anything. I want an AWD 5 speed but there are only GST that are auto. Should I just keep looking for an awd or take the GST?? I am located near milwaukee Wisconsin if that helps

about 5 years ago i could go on CL and fing 10 1g's for under $3k running, and under $1500 not.

Now the only 1g i can find on CL is the one i sold to some dude.

gotta just keep looking man, one will pop up, just takes patience. Dont settle on a GST if you have your heart set on a GSX because the second you do one will pop up.

Wait to find the gsx you want. When I was looking, I looked for months untill I found the one I wanted. there are a lot in the classifieds on here too. I ended up having mine shipped from out of state. Up north here, they are usually all rusty by now.

if you want a 5sp awd I'd wait for it. use the extra time to save up so you can get a nicer one and have some mod money. also check the classifieds on here, and look at the craigslists in major cities that are kinda close to you, I always search the major cities that are within about 200 miles of here because I'm willing to spend 6 hours on the road to go pick up a car if I really want it.

alright thanks..i found a 92 laser awd turbo the other day..but once I emailed him he said it was sold unless he payed by 4pm today. It was 700 bucks just needed timing adjustment and probly replace all plugs and stuff..man was I bummed

You will want to be careful of those ones that "just need a little work to run right." A lot of times it ends up needing a lot more than just those few things. Just do your research and look over them closely and you will find yourself a good one.

We have tons of them in the West Texas area, I bought mine for $1300 needs paint really bad and had a blown turbo, rebuilt engine with papers though...I always look for cars within 250 miles of me, like stated above I didn't mind driving awhile to get a car I wanted...plus the drive back in your new car home is awesome, I love the drive home when I get a new car...unless it was like my Supra and I broke down on the way home!

I got mine for 1600 this summer You just gotta wait. One will pop up... If your into a decent cheap project there's one in kaukauna for 1500. Awd 5 speed talon

yes sir...btw kaukauna is under the appleton/oshkosh/fdl link on CL....hes been posting it for awhile now, got a few things done to it,ive messaged him before and he says it runs like shit after a egr valve delete, bodys a little rusted but a pair of good junkyard fenders and your set the cars grey with new wheels IMO its worth the 1500(prob could offer like 1200 i bet) throw the egr valve back on and diagnose problems from there

ok i just checked its actually black...and now theres another one that dont run on there to go on appleton CL, cars and trucks and type in talon its the first two that popped up for me just now....both 1500 both black but one says it dont run....theres all kinds of dsms up here man...call them both take a trip up here for the day and check both of them out and maybe take one home

just move here to the nw man,,,, we got tons of em here. Every few months a check craigslist for a stock dd and i find at least 4 good deals within 200miles every time.

yea i found one about an hour and a half away i'll see how that goes its a 90 gsx new tranny and clutch but lots of miles on the motor so that would be interesting..158k..says runs strong and turbo seems good..i'll be checking it out
