i got the motor back in today...pretty happy about that...now im just working the harness...it does need the 91 coil pack and coil ignitor...luckily i have them...by the end of tonight the axles will be back on...

hey john/josh...when re-attaching the transfer case/driveline what is easier...putting the tcase back on the drivline and then attatching it to the motor? or attatching it to the motor and then putting the axle back in? or some other way? the driveline is still attached at the rear...

What ever is easier for you buddy. Try em both.

hey john/josh are the ecu pinouts the same from 90-91?
motor swaps almost done...cant wait to get it out of my garage!

Just so everyone knows, I rebuild the FWD and AWD manual trannys. I can do Honda trannys too if that matters. Take it out of the car and bring it to me. Typically $300 dollars labor, and whatever the parts cost.

Jonny Wing Sauce, are you gonna need that front passanger axle I got? Let me know.

not just yet...

the axle cup from the 90 is different from the 91(i dunno how as they look the same)...so i popped them off the tranny off the 91 and put them into the 90 tranny and it is fine...the car is almost done...i have a few things that i need to do still tho...like seats...i have the new steering column in(i need to take the locks off my car too) i just have to bolt it to the dash mounts and install the boot...fuel feed...battery relocation...im pretty sure the harness is squared away(after countless hours soldering)...i need to double check my knock sensor to make sure its plugged in and every plug has a home...and my t-case and driveline...

i need to find a 1g as a wrecking yard to get a clip and sensor that gos into my thermostat...

do u know part prices off hand? i really wanted that 91 tranny but the output shaft was shit so no go...id like to beef it up tho(steel forks)...any rough estimate?

Steel forks are about $120, and synchros usually run $30 a piece.

do u think steel forks and synchros would beef up a tranny?
besides a 4 spider center diff thats all you CAN do to beef up a tranny.
