Hey guys, check out what I picked up this week. It's a 90 tsi awd. It was posted in the classifieds in this forum. This is the reason why I'm looking for a 14b. The one in it is :barf:

Very true. Eventually, I would like to get a 50 trim in there, but for now, I was looking to get it to at least stock form so that I can make sure I have a solid foundation to build more performance from.

Is anyone going out to Fallon or Fernly this weekend? Im going with my friend bobby to the auto-x, we should get some more people to come out. Its being held by the SCCA.

Hmmm... where, when and time? I know a bunch of WRX guys that go out there.

Here's my project for this weekend. Got this 14b from Ryan. :thumb: I hope it doesn't rain. I will also be flushing the transmission fluid and replacing it with BG Syncroshift I got from RRE. My Accord is getting neglected...

Awesome! good luck with that.

Does anyone know where I can get cheap eclipse interior parts? Im looking for the center vents of a 95-99 - black. Are there any at a pick and pull at the moment?

The cheapest way would to paint or dye your own. Browse the classifieds section too.

Is anyone going out to the auto-x tomarrow?

The 14b got put into my talon this weekend. It does pull pretty good, but it seems like the turbo lag is more than it should be. Maybe I'm just used to spool up time of a t25 with ic hardpipes.

When does it hit?

I would have to say right around 3500~4000rpm. I'm not positive though since I was paying attention to other things on the initial drive. I'll take another test drive soon and confirm.

Does anyone know of a good machine shop in our area? Im looking at getting my 6 bolt built this summer. Also does anyone know of a good place to get the new motor put in? I dont want to tackle that on my own but I was hoping for someone that has done this swap before.

Hewes performance machine in Reno. They have some DSM experience.

Ill look them up, thanks.

What about the 6 bolt swap into my 2g though? Does anyone have experience doing the conversion. I remember one guy on here with the maroon 2g had a 6 bolt swap and we breafly spoke about it but I cant remember his screen name.

Josh, if your still on here I need some advice on my tranny. When the 6 bolt is ready to go in I would like to have the transmission run through and beefed up for security. IE: synchros checked and doubled where needed, steel forks with metal bushings, that stuff we talked about before. Let me know if you are still available to do this and where I should go for the parts.

The turbo install took a little over two hours for everything. It went very smooth and the manifold fought with me a little bit but it wasnt too bad. I highly recommend getting the proper install kit for anyone doing a turbo swap because having all the right parts made that swap so easy.
