so i finally got my car on the road tonight .....had the head cleaned new valve seals um new timing belt water pump balace shaft belt a 14b with i guess like 10k on it seemed to be in good shape. anywayz i go out for the first drive and stand on it and the thing makes like 9psi ......ize pissed so i put my mbc on and then it shot to like 17psi . thats a big gap considering i only tunernd it like may 1 rotation but i settled it down to about 15 is this ok for a stock motor and stock exhaust the only thing i have is a k & n filter no box and all the free b's oh yea when i was doin the timing belt i broke some of the cover and it was makeing BAD noises so i took the top off now ive seen people take them off but im afraid of it jumping is this a legidamit concern ......

u should probably lower ur boost down to 12psi for daily driving before u damage ur engine running 15psi. i dont think its a great idea to run 15 psi for daily driving without any supporting mods which u dont seem to have. as for the timing belt cover, it simply protects the belt from damage and from injury, but i think it should be fine with it off unless u are afraid stuff might get in there and destroy the belt and sprockets, upsetting valve timing or even leading to sever engine damage.

15psi should be fine for what you have...which is nothing. But if you want to go higher than that, you will NEED more fuel, most of the time, just a higher flowing fuel pump.
