I finally will be receiving my logger on tuesday and will be doing the pot mod to rid myself of the 6 bolt misfire issue. However, I have no experiance using the logger or doing any type of tuning for that matter.I know I need to monitor the timing while doing the pot mod, but what should the timing read?I know Im supposed to turn the knob on the pot, counter clockwise, but how do I know when to stop?

Also I m having trouble finding the spot (plug)that needs to be ground during the setting of ignition timing...I have also read 2gs dont have them:confused: What is the actual story here?

Finally, a stupid question..Since I have never really experianced misfires before, what are the symptons?I have a code for it, but how does it make the car run when they occur?

Thanks again for your help,
mike

I did the pot mod on my car as well and all I did was drive the car till it started to do the misfire and graved the knob and turned it little by little till it went away. Are you sure its the random misfire from the 6-bolt swap are is it some other issue you have yet to find out.
