Well its that time of year. Im pulling the talon out now and if anyone followed I put a 6 bolt in my 95 in the fall and swapped it to a manual. Everything runs perfect etc no problems EXCEPT of course for random misfire.

So I am going to try the POT mod before investing into dsmlink. Im sure ppl will say just get link well yes I can I have an Eprom ECU but I would like to try and save the cash and try the pot mod before I just get link. Besides I can get 6 botls for 1500 bucks canadian so turning isn't much of an issue. So my question is on average how much are you guys adding to the setero volume knob and roughly how much did your AFC settings change?

Maybe you should answer your own question now since nobody is helping you out so maybe others looking for this info will be able to find it.

Glad to see you got the car working well. It's been really nice lately (except for today) and the nice cars are starting to show up, except for mine that is.. aargh.. There's a guy across the street with a nice 240sx and an SR20 who thinks he is the man, and right now i'm hanging my head in shame with my winter beater and not talon...

Well I think mines fixed anyways. I did the pot mod had to add like no resistance hardly at all to moy 10K pot I got from radio shack in aurora (beleive it or not they had it) and I have driven 5 days now with no RM. I never went 1 day before without it so I hope its licked as of now.

As for tuning I actually was a little rich after the 6 bolt swap cuz Jim ^^^^ hasn't had it butt in my car to tune it yet ;) so I pulled about 3% from the upper lows and 3% from the highs from 4000 up and cleaned it up pretty good. Its still rich but coming along. Just taking baby steps.

I dont really know how much the POT mod changed my AFC values, however if you have it set to the bare minimum, you should not have to compensate too much with AFC. I have been using the POT mod for about a year now, and often forget that its there.

Yeah mine didn't need much change so far anyways. May I ask how much resistance you had to add roughly on the dial like 1/4 turn or less? Mines like 1/16th of a turn.
