the way shes making it out, im supposed to make the $2900 deposit to ebay (im very weary of that) and then she will ship it. if i like it, i give the word to ebay and they will transfer the money to her. she said the car is in athens tx right now, but she is in az. i really hope it comes through and ill keep you guys updated. thanks for the advice
i've never heard of ebay holding the money in any transaction. Ask ebay if they really do that. And think about it, do you really think she's willing to waste her time if you decide you don't want it? I say scam.

SCAM ALERT!!!

Ebay has made in known that they do not provide an escrow service. They said any seller/buyer trying to convince you other wise should be reported IMMEDIATELY!!

Wow, Its been soo long since I've been here. I just logged in and said my last visit was 10-15-05. I used to have a 92 AWD Laser. I've since had a 350Z and an Infiniti FX35 and now my daily driver is an Acura TL. I work at a car dealership and can get cars at cost obviously minimizing depreciation, and I get bored with cars quickly.

anyways, the purpose for this thread is that since I've been out of the DSM game for soo long, I'm looking at getting another one to get me around in snow and to put miles on instead of the TL. I'm looking at this and KBB retail on it is 5675, and i thought that for 7k it was a good buy. he said he is a little bit flexible, but I want to know what you veterans think I should pay. Thanks in advance....

In need of money and bigger car....

It sounds like a pretty nice car, with alot of nice parts, however I personally would not pay much over kbb especially for a car that has been modded simpily for the fact that to me there is a good chance that the car was run hard and or abused. But this is your call and if its what you want then deffinatly go for it. Just my 2cents. But good luck i hope everything goes well!

whats wrong with it? If nothing they probably wont let it go for less than 45 -48 hundred because of how much they put in to it.

Wow, 2 grand is a slap in the face. If everything runs the way it should, and it has everything you say it does, its worth 4,000 easy.

If I had a dsm like that 5 thousand is a generous price. Looks great, 2 grand can be seen as very insulting. Over him 4 grand and if he takes it consider yourself a lucky man.

Hello, I'm new here and couldn't find another place to put this. I have a chance to buy a 1997 Eclipse GS-T with 52,999 miles on it the asking price is $8500.00 heres a list of the upgrades: TIMING BELT & WATER PUMP were changed about 500 miles ago. I HAVE EVERY DOCUMENT for this car(Dealer stickers to last oil change.) Couple of month ago, convertible top needed to be fixed so the job was done at Rick Case Mitsubishi(have document for this as well(Cost $600). All Four tires are basically brand new.
Alignment service was also performed about 2 month ago when I got my tokico shocks installed. • Apexi Full Catback Exhaust

• HKS Turbo Blow Off Valve

• Injen Air Intake Valve

• DC Sports Front Strut Bar

• Vis Carbon Fiber Hood

• Ground Control Coilover w/ Ebach Springs(2 inch Drop)

• 17 inch 99 Eclipse GSX Stock Rims

• CF Tail Lights • Tokico Shocks(sky blue one, $400)

• Kenwood MP3 Deck($250) w/ IPOD direct connection(cost $100, see pic) plus Kenwood Amped subwoofers in the trunk($200)

• OEM Mitsubishi car cover and convertible boot
Also comes with 16" stock rims and tires with about 300 miles on tires. Stock CD changer, stock BOV.

I think it's worth $8500.00 but I want to get your opinion.

That sounds like a steal to me. Low miles, Nice simple upgrades. Looks clean. Dont think you can get that car down to $5500. As a note check the classifieds as a comparison.:thumb:

I've been checking ebay and there are some GS-T's on there that are cheaper than this, but they have 85000 99000 miles on them. I'd like to get this car and put 18" black rims with sliver lips on it Then I could sell the GSX 17's and the GS-T 16's and get some of my money back.

hopefully someone can give me some advice before tuesday because that's when i'm suppose to meet up with the guy.

SORRY if this is in the wrong place but I needed some advice about this and my buddies have no clue so I turn to the best site ever!!!ROFL

I have a chance to buy a 95 talon tsi fwd. it has 114k and is pretty clean. also has clean title. he's gonna throw in a greddy turbo timer, blitz bov, boost gauge, and front brake pads. he didn't have time to put it on. he wants $3200 for it.

here's the bad...everything else is in good shape.

missing passenger door handle (outside)
bunch of scratches on the right mirror
missing center vents
don't think the AC is working...actually, i don't even know if it has it!
hood has a small ding
hood has some slight fade
moon roof won't open all the way unless you help it.
he thinks the clutch is going but by the way he explains it...i think it's turbo lag
front leather seats have some tears on it

there might be other little things but this should be enough info to give me advice.
thanks alot everyone!!!:thumb:

That sounds like a steal bro :thumb:
With a little of elbow grease, you could be on ## way to discovering the inner beauty of dsm's man. The door handle, and the track for the sun roof could be found at any local junkyard.
Check if there is a compressorin the back of the motor where all the belts are on bottom, or maybe he has a screwed up condenser and its not getting cold, R-134 cans will get it back up.
Take it man and maybe u could take of those scratches, and maybe an ACT 2100 clutch.
I have had mine for 3 years and been reading this site forever, just never bothered to register ROFL Good luck !!!!!! :dsm:
