ok I may have miss quoted or came off wrong. The tick wasnt on the boost gauge it was on my vac gauge I brought up there to test the vac. They guy got the codes ran and they were p0170 and p0443. The second one is usually just a fuel cap but the other one is fuel trim malfunction and thats making me think o2 sensor. Does that sound about right to you guys. (Sorry ive been out of my old DSM for a few years and im trying to get back into a DSM mindset).

Yea im looking for a 2g. If its the head gasket I priced all the parts for it (I work at autozone so I get a discount). and it was around $140 for the parts before my discount. And since its Christmas next weekend we get 30% off and %10 order parts (which we usually dont get a discount on). So if I can fix it for around $100 it would be worth it. And if that second code is just and o2 sensor thats just another 72 bucks before discount.

Forrest Gump: My momma always said, "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." you never know with cars plan for the worse. try to do a compression test, leak down test and pressure test the coolant system. than if you sure its a HG, $2300 is way to much i would keep looking, cause if needs a HG why no go for a rebuild or 6bolt swap.

Yeah just like that..But hey...Do you know what you should probly replace while you have her torn apart? Especially since you get a discount..I would get all fluids and hardware you will need now...Visual Frequently Answered Questions - Home Page Check that out for reference on tons of stuff you will need to know, eventually..

I found this 92 talon awd for 3500, heres the link 92 EAGLE TALON TSI AWD 98KMI 5SPD. What im wondering is if it is worth the 3500. He says it runs 17 pounds, which isn't even the stock boost. From the pictures the car looks like its in really good condition though and the engine bay is really clean, along with the interior. I also found a 91 tsi awd in the same area, the guy is asking 3500 for it. I am wondering if it is worth it, because it does have a few mods. Heres the link 91 Eagle Talon AWD.

It's worth whatever your willing to pay for it. I mean in all honestly why are you trying to let other people spend your money for you? Do you not value your own judgment at all? BTW I hate threads like theses

Yeah that car is worth about 2k, also if he is running that 14b on 17psi daily, it cant be too long before its worthless.

Yea, I was thinking its worth about 2k. I was wondering if its worth getting. What do you mean it cant be too long before its worthless.

These guys are right..A 14b on 17 psi daily, come on. If you do buy it, buy another turbo for it as well. But I'd say worth it for 3500. I have a 92 6/4 with 98K and if sold would probly want about that. If your choosing between 91 and 92, It all depends if you want the popups or not.

i was just wondering i just (at 11pm last night) bought a 91 gsx manul with 102xxx miles on it and it has rare checkerboard interier it is all original and stock it is pretty perfect i think im going to sell it so i can finish my 92 gsx so was wanting input if i do decide to sell it on how much it is worth

So there is another gsx down the road from me just got traded in. It's red with a fully built 6 bolt in it. The guy that had it was almost pushing 400 whp. They only want 6500 for it. It's a 97. What do you guys think about me trading mine in for it ?

There is this 97 gsx i'm looking at at this dealer. I know the previous owner and i asked him about anything i should know about the car. The car was fully builtwhen he got it and i believe hes had it almost over a year barely getting on it and took to track 2 or 3 times. He said that there were very fine shavings of metal in the oil last time he did oil change. He said the cams are new and he thinks it might be from them is this a possibility? Also he said there is a small knock in the motor and its been there since he got the car. You think this a big problem? they want 5995 for the car. Other than that the car is in excellent condition interior and exterior wise. I tried researching but i want live advice. Thanks guys. Also i thought i smelled a hint of gas in the oil too. Let me know

whats wrong with yours? If its in better condition than yours and its what you like then trade it.... Id keep the one you have and make it push more than 400HP, Its a 99 and the last year the 2G eclipses were made...

I would check it out first, mileage, compression.etc. If it is comparable, or better than yours, then go for it.

I went up there today and the car would not fire up. I know the guy that had the car personally. He is saying maybe coolant temp sensor. The car ran great when he took it there but the salesman said that it GOT UP AND ROLLED. So i hope its nothing bad. Also coolant was falling on the altenator. Cracked block, head gasket, bad hose? Water pump? I dunno. They are going to look it over and call me later on. Your right about the limited edition 99 but its got 6bolt andeverything. DSM link, with eprom. 2 step stutter box. Almost everything. I dunno i got mine apart right now putting a clutch in it. It's a hard decision. Guys keep giving me advice will help me make right deicsion

i never buy a car that doesnt fire up first time.... i dont know why its just this thing i have. i say stay ith 99 and build it... it alot better saying i built this car instead of saying i bought it. (MY OPNIION)
