Calgary,
Hello, ive been looking for a new dsm for a while now after my last one was smashed up in a hit and run while parked on my street. Ive recently found a reasonably cheap 1990 TSI AWD which is right in my price range but there is a few things wrong with it. Here is the info he posted in his ad, he is asking 900CDN
"I just finished rebuilding the motor.
200xxx kms on the body according to the odometer.
The good:
-Runs and drives great
-Fully rebuilt cylinder head (by D & W)
-ARP head studs
-New headgasket
-6-bolt block rebuilt:
-BSEK installed
-new NPR pistons and rings
-new gaskets everywhere
-new water pump
-new timing belt + hydraulic tensioner + pulleys, etc
-new bearings
-crank was ground and polished
-New Bilstein TC shocks on intrax progressive springs (Handles awesome)
-AFPR with gauge
-1990 EPROM ECU
-New JDM Exedy clutch.
-New clutch slave cylinder.
-Cruise control eliminated
-A/C eliminated
-New alternator
-Fartcan on the back
The bad:
-The paint is not perfect
-Driver side fender bent in from the door being misaligned.
-Cracked windsheild
-Oil leak. Fairly sure its from the gasket in between the main seal and the metal housing for the seal. This would require you to drop the transmission.
-2 snapped oilpan bolts.
-Power locks do not work.
-Leaks PS fluid.
-Flywheel has a hairline crack in it.
-Mismatched rear seats (not installed)
-No roof liner
"
Do you think its worth it?

Haha. Bet seriously, buy it for your first turbo car. It's a project and it will teach you alot. It's dirt cheap and it would not cost much to fix if you know what your doing.
