So the car im about to go buy, the owner had to fix a ittle boost problem and bought a MBC. He said the turbo doesnt surge anymore but he said like all turbo cars it still has a little spike. THoughts?

Sorry LOL.. heres the ad. 1994 Eagle Talon AWD TURBO Low Miles . Mods include : japanese engine swap (the red top), front mount intercooler, hi flow fuel pump, lowered 1.5" with springs, brembo slotted/drilled front brakes, volt/boost/air fuel gauges, BOV, DSMLink, rear upper spoiler, oil cooler, manual boost controller, 17" giovanni rims and a stage 2 clutch.
 
Just got back from test driving the car again.. He says the AC barely works and needs some kind of part(forgot the name) costs like $150?. But who know if that's true. Also the ABS light is on he says its from his mom backing into him severing a wire or something. ANd also, when you give it some gas and let off theres a kind of fluttering. My friend says its just the Wastegate, i know its not Turbo surge because last week it was doing that and he installed a MBC which appearead to fix it. Any thoughts on all this?
 
ok i bought a 96 eagle talon tsi awd for 1400 the only thing wrong is the uicp and air intake to the turbo is gone other wise everything is good and if anyone has any easy fixs on this let me know please
 
There had to be alot of things untested without pipes on the car. Did you hear or drive the car previous to the pipes being missing?

If it ends up just being a couple missing pipes and a few odds and ends, yeah thats a realy nice deal. Depending on millage and condition.
 
heard it run for about 5 mins till it dead cause of no pipes and it only has 130k on it which is not that bad i think and the turbo has no shaft play at all the only bad thing that i can see it the clear coat is worn badly

yeah i need to get on that but does any one know what degree the pipes are and is it easyier to use the maf tanslator and a gm maf sensor
 
Oh gawddddddd, you need new IC pipes for sure. They ghetto rigged that shit. That piping off the TB will not hold any pressure at all. Get some stock ones for now and clean that bay before it starts to rust. Pressure washer!

:tease:Yeah defiantly get rid of that rig,And ^^^ clean the bay up like 19TSI95AWD said,Degrease everything,Get that valve cover repainted or something!! But that's on non sense stuff that's easy,Get the car running and do a regular maintenance check,If everything checks out and there the only few probs you have then you got a deal:thumb:
 
Damnn.. Why would anyone need to cut the intake pipe off like that, Must have been on drugs. Otherwise Car looks fairly good but for 1400 bucks good find! Yeah and I second on the engine bay clean get it shampooed, and steamed clean. :thumb:
