well for a limited daily driver...id say get the fwd. the price difference is immense...and on the street...if u get some nice street tires and good suspension, you wont have TOO MUCH traction issues...from what you said on ## mod list ull probably be looking @ around 400 or so horsepower with a good tune.

my car wasnt making that much power on the 14b...and as long as i am not too aggressive launching(from a light or a stop) traction was good...it WAS ripping the tires apart as soon as i saw boost in second...but not bad enough where i lost any races. third gear was the charm LOL

if it was me - id do the fwd...do the b16g and full supporting mods...hit the suspension up...then do the race trans and after that...make the car just LOOK nice

I would go with the 95 cause then you have extra money to invest in it, and it probably has an Eprom ECU which is good. But im sure the 99 GSX will also be a great car, they are really nice cars, but usually the 99's are more expensive. Good luck with the buy..

should of asked to pop the hood :)

yeah i know but when i found out she was selling it she was in a hurry im going to check it out again today maby drive it but with the info i think its an rs now it has manual windows and im not shure about the locks. is the rs slower? i really know nothing about the motors are the rs motors the 420a? idk ill find out today

I have a 99 gsx, haven't regretted it a second. Its almost a luxury car if you keep it nice and clean. Black on black leather with white gauges, sex.

How many miles does the 99 have?

The dealer wanted 9k, but I walked away giving 7,800 & 3,400 trade in. :sneaky:
You can talk the guy down.

The 420a motors are a lot slower. If your going for speed, don't get it. If your going for daily driver, its ok. By alot slower, trust me, I mean a lot slower. If she is rushing you, use caution.

crimson and i have somewhat of the same idea....although my perfect build goes something like...

buy the 95...leave it stock, run it for a while
while the 95's running...buy a 6bolt, do a light build thats still very streetable...then just drop it in.

in about 6months to a year...thats what i plan to do...

thanks for your input and time. i will see what happens when i go to look at the 95 tomorrow.

the 99 i looked at is rust free. if i could swing it, i would get the 99. im going to look at it again tonight and see if i can chip away at that price.

thanks,

naw not too big on speed i just dont want to be blown away by civic's and neon's with just a raspy fartcan, cheep intake, and crappy body kit.... really with this id just do cat back exhaust i was thinking about a skunk2 system, maby headers, intake and other light tuning. this has always been my have gen eclipse with this body style all up need is rims and it a sexi car

If you want a car for looks, this is it. It can probably keep pace with most high schoolers Hondas, but, that's mostly because they have no idea what they are doing. The money spent on mods for this car would look much better put into a cheap 1G for actually going fast : D

I would deffenitly go with the 95 because of couple reasons. First it comes with an e-prom ecu so you dont have to spend an extra 300 bucks to get one , and second reason is the money. Its a 7k difference, which if invested on the 95 talon it will make that car a DD beast.

Not all of them have EPROM, just tore mine apart saturday and was saddened to find out mine wasn't EPROM!

yeah im only 18 LOL i guess just think different than most high schoolers thats why i think this car yould be perfect! it already has a fast look just build on the preformance and your set!
